This particular expression of the “Downton” is constructed with steel & finished in a bronze-chrome powder coat. It is accented with polished chrome collars, cradles & fancy feet, all crafted by skilled artisans. Each post is adorned with genuine, high-grade chrysocolla stone finials, reminiscent of gorgeous blue eggs.

Our beds come complete with headboard, footboard & frame (this includes the side rails, slats, center T-bar* & hardware), all in a coordinating finish. The frames have been uniquely engineered for lasting sturdiness & strength.

Chrysocolla was first used by Theophrastus in 315 B.C. & comes from the Greek chrysos, meaning "gold," & kolla, meaning "glue," an allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold. Copper in its chemical structure is responsible for the bright attractive color. Chrysocolla belongs to a very small group of copper-bearing gems.
