Stratford DetailsThis particular expression of the “Stratford” Upon Avon is constructed with steel & cast iron & finished in an illusion pacific powder coat. It is accented with polished copper bars, collars & cradles, created by skilled artisans. Each post is adorned with the choice of a genuine, ruby in kyanite finial* or prismatic, cut crystal.

Stratford FrameOur beds come complete with headboard, footboard, & frame (this includes             the side rails, slats, & center T-bar*), all in a coordinating finish. True to the original, the side rails are dovetailed. The remainder of the frame has been uniquely engineered for additional sturdiness and strength.

*Twin beds do not require a T-bar

Ruby-kyanite is best identified by its beautiful & unique colors. It’s a mixture of two distinct gemstones. The blue is owed to its kyanite (aluminum silicate) composition. “Kyanite” derives from the Greek word Kyanos, meaning blue, but ranges in color from pale to deep blue & green, brown, white, & gray. The pink & red hues are owed to the presence of ruby (corundum). “Ruby”comes from ruber, Latin for red, but ranges in color from pink to red & is one of the most significant stones throughout  history.
